About the event

This annual event occurs due to support from our sponsors, volunteers, students, community members and organizations. 

Owensboro area (and beyond!) potters, Brescia University and Apolla students, and community members create beautiful, ceramic bowls which are purchased for a donation to include a simple dinner of soup and bread. Proceeds from the dinner and a silent auction remain in the community and are awarded to local organizations who aid in our mission and goal.  

In 2025, we raised $17,000 for St. Benedict's Homeless Shelter!

When you arrive at our location, you will provide your name for admittance. Then you'll be ushered inside to choose from hundreds of handcrafted bowls. Once you've selected your bowl, you'll find a seat, then choose your soup and check out the silent auction items. 

We will have recipient(s) from the previous year in attendance to share how they've used the funds they were awarded. We will also have the current year's recipient(s) speak on their plans for using the funds they'll receive.

It is a wonderful opportunity to support those in our community who are doing their part to end hunger.
